We’re so happy to finally be able to welcome fans to our games again.  It’s going to be a very different experience for the time being, but the more we all do to keep each other safe, the more chance we’ll have of continuing with the season in a way we all want to.  The following guidelines are for our mutual safety; please do your best to follow them and help us to help you!

Address (for directions see end of article):

Park Lane
Canvey Island

Covid-19 symptoms (for risk assessment see below)

Please do not attend if you or anyone in your party is displaying symptoms or if you should be isolating.  We would also recommend not attending if you are considered in high-risk categories.  If attending, please follow best practice in terms of hygiene and bring hand sanitiser for your own personal use.  For the latest government guidance, see here: Covid-19 Govt guidelines

Our games are currently pay on the door and are restricted to a capacity of 450.

Cashless payment only; cost is £5 adults and £2 concessions.

Free parking is available outside the ground.

Match timings:

To reduce risk of infection, we will allow fans to enter from approximately an hour before kickoff  and will be closing the ground promptly after players have changed.

Our programme will be digital only and will be available via our Twitter on matchday.

By law anyone attending must be registered.

The venue will have an NHS Covid-19 QR code displayed. Please use your official NHS Covid-19 app to register using this code.

If this does not work, or you do not have a smartphone, please speak to a member of staff at the entrance.

Covid-19 protocols:

Please maintain a 1m+ distance at all times with those outside your household, whether queuing, in the stand or around the pitch.  We suggest keeping two seats apart from those outside your household in the stand.

Wearing of masks is optional but advised.

Please keep groups to a maximum of 6 people.

Please observe signage and one-way systems at the ground.

Please dispose of your rubbish carefully or take it with you.

Risk assessment:

The risk assessment for the venue is on Canvey Island’s website: Covid-19 risk assessment – Canvey Island FC

Player Meet/Greet:

Anyone who has come to a Hashtag United game before knows how much we try to meet fans before and after games for selfies etc.  Under current circumstances this has become more difficult.  Whilst we don’t want to warn you off, please be understanding and help us to help each other by not requesting handshakes or close quarter selfies.  You’re fine to take photos but we should all keep our distance!

Please note that we will be filming in and around the game so by attending you consent to be filmed.  Anyone with privacy concerns should contact Neil Smythe on neil@hashtagunited.co.uk

By Car:

Exit M25 at Junction 30 and take the A13 towards Southend. You will reach a series of mini roundabouts. At these roundabouts, take the A130 towards Canvey Island. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit which will keep a sports centre on your right and follow signs for Canvey Island Football Club. Eventually, you will enter a one way system. Keep left through the one way system and after one mile you will pass the Transport Museum on your right. Park Lane is on the right hand side shortly afterwards, with The Prospects Stadium located in front of you. There is plenty of parking outside the ground.

By Train:

Benfleet Station is 40 minutes from London Fenchurch Street and 50 minutes from London Liverpool Street on the C2C line. The station is 5 miles from the ground. There is a taxi rank around the back of the station. Alternatively, you can use the frequent bus service from the front of the station:

By Bus:

You can use the number 22 or 27 bus to be dropped directly outside Park Lane. Alternatively, you can use the number 21 or 21A to be dropped by the sea wall. From here, continue walking in the direction you travelled across some playing fields, and you will see The Prospects Stadium on your left.
