Hashtag United legend Dan Brown has revealed his favourite moment from his time with us, following the third anniversary of the side.
Brown was one of the original members from the team first founded three years ago by Spencer Owen, in which a number of the successful YouTuber’s friends came together in a charity game to commemorate a friend – the rest, as they say, is history.
Hashtag’s former No.16 will go down as one of the best goalscorers in our history and helped us win the Wembley Cup in 2017.

That day at the national stadium saw us run out 6-1 winners over Tekkers Town, a match in which Brown netted the game’s second goal with a well-taken finish.
On the topic of Wembley, the now-retired Hashtag striker recalls his strike against Vauxhall at the home of the Three Lions as his greatest Hashtag moment – a hard choice considering there were so many personal highlights to choose from.
“Hashtag United, Happy Birthday! Three years old today, it’s unbelievable. It’s literally gone like that,” he said, snapping his fingers.
“Certainly for me and many of the boys, and the fans, three of the best years of my life. Greatest memories with Hashtag? It’s got to be that first Wembley game, the first time we played at Wembley against Vauxhall, I think it was.
“I did a one-two with Spencer, jinked inside, and then managed to stick it past the keeper with my left foot. I wheeled away with all the boys running over celebrating with me, my little boy Arbie was there, my wife Gem was in the crowd, and more of my family. It was mindblowing.”
No matter how successful a Hashtag forward does in future, it will require a heroic effort to emulate Brown’s achievements in the yellow and blue.
