Hashtag United vs Sawbridgeworth Town: Can we get a sixth straight win?

How’s it going, guys!

Our fourth midweek encounter of the season on Tuesday saw us dispatch Halstead Town by a 2-0 scoreline, which now means that Devs and the lads have recorded five straight wins, whilst scoring 14 goals and conceding none.

What a run!

However, that is all in the past now and we must not rest on our laurels – onto the next game.

Our next fixture involves us travelling to Sawbridgeworth Town, where they will hope to put our winning streak to an end – here’s everything you need to know ahead of the game…

Team news

Having only just played as recently as Tuesday, expect Devs to rotate his starting eleven as we look to keep everyone fit and avoid picking up any unnecessary injury problems.

That could mean starts for Lee Hursit, who has been in phenomenal form so far this season, as well as Samraj Gill and Cain Brougham, all of whom started on the bench against Halstead on Tuesday.

Josh Osude starting to look more comfortable

Hashtag Academy winner Josh Osude has started the season on fire, and is looking more and more comfortable with every passing game in the system.

Josh started at right wing-back against Halstead on Tuesday, where his pace and directness on the wing causes all sorts of chaos for the opposition – there was one moment where he blitzed past everyone and smacked the bottom of the post!

His tricks and skills also almost caused a Leyton Athletic player to stick one in his own net last week, although luckily for him, he saw the ball bounce back off the post after Josh twisted his man in knots on the wing and whipped one in.

Keep it up!

Player of the Month announced for August

We recently ran a poll asking you guys to name your Player of the Month for August, and the results are in…

Lee Hursit is your Hashtag United Player of the Month!

Lee – whose brother Jamie joined us recently – has been in ridiculous form so far this season and scored three goals last month, putting him as our joint-top scorer alongside George Smith and Richo.

Lee also tops the assist charts having grabbed three for us last month, whilst some of his goals were absolute screamers – he is deservedly the Player of the Month.
