Having tasted cup semi-final defeat to Harleston Town last time out it was important for the lads to bounce back immediately, and they did just that with a convincing 4-2 triumph at May & Baker.
May & Baker took the lead early on but Hashtag were level just minutes later when Keith Albie levelled in the 11th minute via the inside of the post. Despite being going in level at the break, both sides had chances to take the lead in the first half despite extremely windy conditions.
Jacko pulled off a couple of wonderful saves at the beginning of the second half before Neil Richmond put us in the lead as he got himself on the end of a deep Tom Williams cross and took advantage of a mix-up in the May & Baker defence to tap in to an empty net.
But just a few minutes later May & Baker equalised with an impressive 25-yard curling effort, which had Jacko with no chance.
Hashtag United reacted well, though, and dominated proceedings from there on in. We got ourselves back in front via a bit of luck, though, with one of the May & Baker defenders turning the ball in to his own net in spectacular fashion, before substitute Charlie Morley ensured all three points with a sumptuous free-kick in the 83rd minute.
