Hoddesdon Town vs Hashtag United: Can we leapfrog Saffron Walden to go top?

Hello again, guys!

Our packed October schedule continues with our second game of the week on Saturday, and our fourth game of the month in total – it’ll only be the 12th when our game against Hoddesdon kicks off!

It is to Hoddesdon where we travel though, and the boys have a golden opportunity to leapfrog Saffron Walden into 1st place as we have a game in hand – can Devs and the lads pull it off?

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the significant match…

Team News

The hectic October schedule is beginning to take its toll on some of our players.

Richo will unfortunately be unable to make his 50th appearance for the club due to an injury he picked up against Ilford.

Simon Peddie – who started the 3-2 win on Wednesday – is also missing for the trip to Hoddesdon after coming off early in midweek with a groin issue.

On a brighter note, Josh Osude is back after missing a week of action with an ankle problem.

Ross Gleed is also showing how many strings he has to his bow by slotting in comfortably at left-back on Wednesday, showing just how versatile he is.

Here is Devs’ squad for Saturday’s game:

T Richmond

Eye on the Opposition

Hoddesdon are having a decent campaign and currently sit 6th in the table.

If they manage to beat us on Saturday, then they can close the gap on Devs and the lads to just two points, which would open things up at the top quite a bit!

With that in mind, lets just hope we can keep our five-game winning run across all competitions going.

If you’d like to make the journey down to Hoddesdon and cheer on the lads, then here’s everything you need to know ahead of the game:
