Peterborough Northern Star vs Hashtag United: Pre-season continues!

What’s going on, guys?

We’re all set to embark on our first ever trip to Peterborough to take on Peterborough Northern Star, in what will be the lads’ fifth pre-season game of the summer so far!

It is also the penultimate pre-season match before the campaign officially gets underway, so everyone should be eager to impress Devs as it comes down to playing for a starting place instead of just getting the fitness levels back up.

Thursday night’s match saw the boys take a win against Concord Rangers by a 4-1 scoreline, in a game against our toughest ever opponents in terms of league ranking – they play their football in the National League South at step two, in the sixth tier of the English football pyramid.

Make sure you check out the video for that one when it comes out, as there were some excellent goals – keep an eye out for Matt Carter’s 35-yard screamer!

So, onto Peterborough Northern Star.

As previously mentioned, it will be our first trip to Peterborough against the step five side, and we have some team news for you…

Unfortunately, we will be without Jack Harrison as he has picked up a knock, but there is another squad selection for a Hashtag Academy star!

Cav Clarke has been included yet again by Devs for the trip to Peterborough – the man in between the sticks has impressed so far in pre-season and was very good against Concord last time out.

If you’re thinking of coming down to cheer the lads on, it’ll be a 2pm kick-off, Saturday at Branch Bros Stadium, Chestnut Avenue, PE1 4PE Peterborough.

Ticket prices are TBC, but be sure to keep an eye on our Twitter feed to find out that information very soon!

We hope to see as many of you come down as possible, and as always, don’t forget to Hashtag it!
