Welcome back to the site guys!
After an absolutely PACKED festive schedule in which it felt like there was a game of football on every single day – and also made Premier Picks predictions near impossible to write up – we are now back to normality.
As a result, we have caught up with Jamie Hursit to see what he thinks will happen in England’s top-flight this weekend!
The brother of Lee Hursit and nominee for December’s Player of the Month award has kindly shared his Premier Picks predictions with us, so let’s see what he’s gone for…
“The Gunners are under new management with Mikel Arteta and seem to be playing much better – the players have something to prove and I think they’ll beat an injury-stricken Crystal Palace side here.”
“Despite a few results not going their way – especially at Stamford Bridge – I think Chelsea have been playing well! I expect Frank Lampard’s side to beat Burnley with ease here in a 3-0 win.”
“After their embarrassing display at Liverpool I think Everton owe their fans a good performance, although they are vulnerable at the back. I think they’ll beat Brighton, although the Seagulls will get a goal.”
“Leicester been very good this season, especially Jamie Vardy and James Maddison – I’ve been really impressed with them and I think they’ll help Brendan Rodgers get the three points in this game.”
“I don’t think there will be much in this game. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have been poor lately, whereas Norwich are putting in good shifts but are not able to keep the goals out – I think this will be a score draw.”
“I’ve been really impressed with Wolves. They look very dangerous going forward and I think they will have too much firepower in attack for Newcastle to handle.”
“I don’t think anyone has got near Liverpool this year. Jurgen Klopp’s side are head and shoulders above everyone and Spurs really haven’t been great recently under Jose Mourinho – the loss of Harry Kane will also be a huge blow.”
“There’s not much between the two sides. I think Watford are more dangerous in an attacking sense, but they can be vulnerable at the back – I reckon they’ll concede two and score two in this game.”
“I think Jack Grealish has kept Aston Villa in a lot of games and I’m not sure where they would be without him, but Manchester City are finding form again and will surely be too strong for a relegation-threatened Villa side.”
