How’s it going guys?
We’ve managed to grab a few words with Hashtag Academy star Louis Lawlor ahead of this weekend’s round of Premier League games, who became a huge fan favourite during the second academy series on his way to making the final four.
The shot-stopper revealed what he thinks is going to happen in England’s top-flight this weekend, and also gave us a quick update on his injury and how his recovery is going so far.
“I can’t see Everton having any luck after losing Marco Silva, while also being up against a Chelsea side who score plenty of goals but have trouble in terms of conceding them.”
“Bournemouth are in desperate need of a good performance after a poor showing in the week against Palace – the Cherries are lacking any creativity in front of goal. I can see it being close, but Liverpool will, as they have been doing this season, find a way to win the game.”
“After back-to-back defeats for Burnley and Spurs in need of a win to push for a European spot, I can’t see anything other than a win for Jose Mourinho’s side.”
“I’m hoping that my team will record a third Premier League in a row. My worry is that, with lots of injuries in the defensive area of the squad, we may need goals – I’m looking to Jordan Ayew and Wilfried Zaha to produce the goods.”
“Both teams are not having the seasons they would be hoping for, however City are still pushing to close the gap on Liverpool, so I’m expecting a win for Pep Guardiola. Hopefully Raheem Sterling can produce some goals for the fantasy team.”
“Aston Villa are looking really good but just can’t seem to grind out a win, and with Leicester flying at the moment, I expect it to be close.”
“Both teams on coming into this game off the back of two good performances, picking up important points. With Newcastle being at home though, I think they will edge this one.”
“Sheffield United have had a fantastic start to the season and up against a Norwich team who need points desperately – I can see this game being very cagey with neither team able to break each other down.”
“After a great win for Brighton against Arsenal in the week and Wolves also another team who have exceeded expectations, I can see both teams sharing the points in this one.”
“Arsenal are in desperate need of some leadership on and off the field under Freddie Ljungberg, someone who has no managerial experience. I can’t even see him getting a win against a West Ham side who are also not having a great time at the moment, but the bigger sides always seem to get the best out of the players.”
“Things have been a little bit quiet since the academy process. I had an unfortunate re-occurrence in pre-season of a dislocated shoulder that has meant I’m now awaiting another shoulder operation, however I’m still keeping fit, especially through my coaching, while also very focused on showcasing my football ability and knowledge to the prospects of the future. There are big things to come for my company LL Coaching Academy – if you are interested in improving your football ability and having fun at the same time, check us out.
“I’m hoping to have my operation soon and then go back to rehabilitating again – fingers crossed I will be back competing with Jacko, Louis and Tim next season. But it’s been fantastic to still be a part of a great club and get down and watch the lads when I can. It’s been a fantastic season so far, so here’s hoping for a win this weekend and promotion celebrations at the end of the season.”
