Premier Picks: Wes Tanser shares his predictions for this weekend’s PL games!

How’s it going, guys?

It’s Friday. The Premier League is near, and that means Premier Picks predictions is here!

You heard George Smith’s predictions last week, and this time around, we chat with Wes Tanser to hear what he thinks will happen in the Premier League this weekend.

Let’s take a look at what Wes has gone for…

Brighton 1-2 Tottenham

“Although Brighton haven’t scored as many goals this season as Tottenham conceded in the last game against Bayern Munich, I think Spurs will be after revenge having been turned into a meme in midweek – I’m gonna go with a 2-1 win to Tottenham.”

Burnley 1-2 Everton

“Burnley are doing well and are sat above Everton in the table, but I think the Toffees will be taking the three points back to Goodison Park with a 2-1 win under their belts.”

Liverpool 4-3 Leicester

“Liverpool vs Leicester – it should be an exciting game full of attacking football and a high-scoring one, I would imagine. I’m gonna go with a 4-3 win to Liverpool.”

Norwich 1-0 Aston Villa

“Six-pointer early on in the season. I think Norwich will just edge it by a 1-0 scoreline. Teemu Pukki will be the difference in attack for Daniel Farke’s side. They’re also pretty good at home having beaten Manchester City at Carrow Road.”

Watford 0-2 Sheffield United

“Sheffield United have had a few good results recently, and only narrowly lost to Liverpool last time out by a 1-0 scoreline. I’m gonna go with 2-0 to Chris Wilder’s side, as Watford have been awful this season.”

West Ham 2-0 Crystal Palace

“Although West Ham were beaten by Oxford 4-0 recently – which is quite embarrassing – I’m gonna go with a 2-0 win to the Hammers. Crystal Palace lost 4-0 to Tottenham in their last away game also, so it will be interesting to see how they bounce back.”

Arsenal 3-2 Bournemouth

“Arsenal scored a lot of goals in the Europa League in midweek, while Bournemouth are also scoring a lot of goals in the Premier League – they have five in their last two games against Everton and West Ham. I’m gonna go with a 3-2 win for Arsenal in this one.”

Manchester City 5-0 Wolves

“Wolves aren’t having the best time at the start of the season and have been drawing a lot of games. I think they’re gonna get turned over 5-0 by Manchester City, especially after Pep Guardiola’s men smashed Watford 8-0 in their last Premier League game at the Etihad.”

Southampton 0-2 Chelsea

“Hmmm. I think Chelsea are going to win this one 2-0. Mason Mount is going to score one of the goals, with Cesar Azpilicueta getting the other one.”

Newcastle 1-1 Manchester United

Paul Dummett looks on during the Newcastle game

“This is historically a very exciting fixture. To quote a tweet I saw recently, Bury have won away more recently than Man United have, and they’re not even a club anymore. I’m gonna go for a 1-1 draw.”
