Premier Picks: Yani shares his predictions for this weekend’s Premier League games!

How’s it going, people!

We have something a bit different for you guys today…

In collaboration with Premier Picks, Yani has kindly shared his predictions for this weekend’s round of Premier League fixtures – there are some VERY bold shouts in there!

Let’s take a look at what the man himself has gone with, and see whether or not I agree with him…

Be sure to get involved too by clicking the link at the very bottom!

Arsenal 1-2 Burnley

Straight off the bat, Yani has made a massive call. He has tipped Sean Dyche’s men to pull off a huge result against the Gunners, and at the Emirates! It’s certainly a bold shout, but I can definitely see this one happening after watching Burnley tear Southampton apart last weekend.

Aston Villa 2-0 Bournemouth

Simply can’t argue with this one. Bournemouth were poor against Sheffield United whereas Villa were beating Tottenham for over three quarters of the game last weekend, with a lot of their new signings impressing.

Brighton 0-3 West Ham

Another big shout from Yani. Brighton smashed Watford 3-0 last weekend, whereas West Ham were thrashed 5-0 by Manchester City, but Yani reckons the shoe will be on the other foot this weekend. I can see the Hammers winning, but I think the Seagulls will get one goal through Neal Maupay.

Everton 1-1 Watford

Exactly the same as I went for. Both teams had a poor result on the opening weekend, and I expect another drab affair between two teams who look like they’ll take a while to find their rhythm this season.

Norwich 0-2 Newcastle

Agreed. Newcastle were decent against Arsenal and only lost by a single goal, whereas Norwich looked like they were going to concede every time Liverpool attacked them last Friday – easy win for the Magpies, this.

Southampton 2-3 Liverpool

With Adrian looking likely to miss out after being injured by a pitch invader in the Super Cup (yes, really), I’m expecting Liverpool’s backline to look shaky. They have enough firepower up front to outscore Southampton, but expect goals in this one – Yani, I can’t argue with you again.

Manchester City 3-1 Tottenham

Tanguy Ndombele celebrating after scoring for Spurs

Exactly the same scoreline I went with. Spurs will battle hard and will manage to get a goal, but City’s crazy amount of talent up front will be too much for the north Londoners to handle.

Sheffield United 0-2 Crystal Palace

Chris Wilder vs Roy Hodgson – what a battle. Sheffield United will have a loud home support behind them in their first Premier League game at Bramall Lane for 12 years, although expect Palace to do a professional job over the Blades.

Chelsea 1-1 Leicester

I’m sorry Yani, but I think you’re wrong on this one – I reckon Leicester will snatch the three points! Chelsea still look a bit lost under Frank Lampard and the Foxes have a lot of individual brilliance in their side, such as Jamie Vardy and James Maddison. 2-1 to Leicester for me.

Wolves 0-3 Man United

Again, I’m sorry Yani, but this is Wolves’ game. Nuno’s men are very good against teams who try and take the game to them, winning two and drawing one of their three games against United last season, whilst also beating Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool with their counter-attacking style – 2-0 to Wolves for me.
