Tough to take: Ross Gleed and Farai Tsingano share their thoughts after the loss to Harleston Town

We recently embarked on our first ever semi-final, coming up against Harleston Town at home in front of our watching fans.

Sadly for us, we couldn’t overturn the deficit after falling 2-0 behind, with Harleston’s keeper pulling off some fantastic saves. We grabbed one back through Ross Gleed’s absolute thunder-strike into the bottom corner, but it just wasn’t to be.

Our only goalscorer on the night, as well as Farai Tsingano, stopped to grab a quick word with us…

“A tough pill to swallow. What made that so hard?”

Ross Gleed: “To be fair, I think going 2-0 down, and then trying to get back into it, the ball just wouldn’t drop for us to get the second goal and take it to pens. It was quite frustrating.”

“A good performance nonetheless. Do you think that’ll help us in the league?”

Farai Tsingano: “Yeah 100%. I don’t really have a lot of words left doing a post match (interview) after a defeat. I’ve got no faults of the boys today, we put it all on the pitch but it’s just one of those days where it didn’t fall on our side.”
