Five Everton fringe players that must start against Arsenal

Everton face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in their final match of a Premier League season on Sunday, and it could give manager Ronald Koeman the opportunity to take a closer look at some of his fringe players.

The Toffees are guaranteed a seventh-place finish and have already secured a spot in next season’s Europa League following a successful debut season in charge for Koeman, and the Dutchman could choose to make changes to his starting line-up for the visit to the capital.

Even though he is missing the likes of James McCarthy and Maarten Stekelenburg because of injury and Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Ademola Lookman are away with the England Under-20s, there are still a number of individuals that are pushing for a rare spot in the starting XI.

Some may be youngsters while others will be more experienced players hoping to prove that they have a future at Goodison Park.
