Five signings from the SPFL that could revitalise a new-look Rangers
Joe Lewis is enjoying a terrific debut season between the sticks for Aberdeen, proving to be one of the best goalkeepers in the entire league. With 37 appearances in all competitions, it’s clear that Derek McInnes sees him as an absolutely vital component of his side.
His importance was never more apparent than during the Dons’ 1-0 defeat to Celtic at Pittodrie back in October. As you can see in the above video, Lewis was a star performer and kept the score respectable and his side competitive across the 90 minutes.
He has experience too, at 29 he’s made over 300 professional appearances, most of which came at Peterborough United in League One and the Championship. Wes Foderingham isn’t exactly calamitous but a move for Lewis would add a more solid foundation to their defence from a ‘keeper who has more experience at a higher level than the Rangers man.
