Four Celtic players that deserve a chance vs St. Johnstone
Michael Johnston excelled in last week’s Scottish Youth Cup Final against Rangers at Hampden, helping the young Hoops lift the trophy for the first time since 2015. The attacking midfielder, who just turned 18 last month, has even this week been linked with a move to Antonio Conte’s Chelsea.
That’s despite not even having made his first team debut for the Hoops. Supporters would enjoy seeing that change between now and the end of the season. The flamboyant young midfielder is a crowd pleaser.
Brendan Rodgers was in the stand for last week’s final at Hampden and will likely have been impressed with his skill on the ball and ability to find teammates in the final third.
It comes on the back of an impressive season for the youngster in Celtic’s Development Squad and after a long, hard season of graft, getting his reward with some minutes at Celtic Park on Saturday would be fitting.
