Four Rangers players who could show their true potential under Caixinha
Qatari club Al-Gharafa SC confirmed on Thursday that they had reached agreement with Rangers, clearing the way for Portuguese manager Pedro Caixinha to make the switch to Ibrox.
Should all go to plan and he signs on the dotted line, it will end a month-long search for a replacement for Mark Warburton after the Englishman left the club in acrimonious circumstances.
While it’s been a difficult time for the Ibrox side and their supporters, they can now look ahead with optimism, hopeful of progression and building a squad that can eventually compete with Celtic.
A massive part of that process will be recruiting new players in the upcoming transfer window but with resources stretched thin, Caixinha will also have to bring the most of out the squad currently available to him. Besides, there are plenty of games left in the season before that transfer window re-opens and fans are hoping the manager will hit the ground running and help the Gers to a second place Scottish Premiership finish and even potentially lift the Scottish Cup.
Here are FOUR players already at the club that could realise their full potential in the new Caixinha era…
