Arsenal have had a very quiet January transfer window so far. Their only business in or out of the club has been the acquisition of young Cohen Bramall from Hednesford Town, though that is clearly one for the future, and letting a number of reserve based players go out on loan.

There is still time left to do more significant business, though, both in terms of players coming to the club and players leaving the club.

Arsenal's season is still very much alive on three fronts, in the FA Cup, Champions League and to a lesser extent the Premier League.

Gunners fans always like to see improvements made but an important part of transfer windows is moving on players who no longer have roles at the club or seeking a destination for players of the future to get some vital first-team football.

Here are FOUR last-minute Arsenal exits the club should be working on before the window shuts...

Mathieu Debuchy

After reportedly being told he can leave the club, it seems a certainty that Mathieu Debuchy's time at the Emirates Stadium is coming to an end.

The right-back has made just one start at the club this season and even though he's been out with injury, he's unlikely to be a big part of Wenger's plans going forward.

His move from Newcastle hasn't been the greatest of successes since the transfer in 2014, with the Frenchman making just 23 appearances in three seasons at the club.

At 31, he doesn't have the luxury of being able to spend time on the bench and if he truly wants first-team football then it's probably best for all parties that a new club is found for him.

Carl Jenkinson

Carl Jenkinson has been the subject of significant transfer rumours this January, at one point looking like he was on the verge of a move to Crystal Palace.

The Daily Star report that it's a deal that's still alive as long as Jenkinson reduces his wage demands at Palace, with Arsenal happy to let the defender leave.

His chances of first-team football at the Emirates are slim and he undoubtedly has the ability to make an impact at another Premier League side.

He's fully recovered from a horror injury that cut short his loan spell at West Ham last season and has made five appearances for Wenger since October.

It makes no sense for him to be wasting the prime years of his playing career outside of matchday squads, so it's a move that Arsenal should be trying to force through.

Rob Holding made his ninth appearance for Arsenal against Southampton at the weekend in the FA Cup and played impressively at the back, showing he has the ability to be a future regular at the Emirates.

The chance of that regular action is slim this season, though, with the likes of Laurent Koscielny, Shkodran Mustafi, Gabriel Paulista and a returning Per Mertesacker likely to be ahead of him in the pecking order in the second half of the season.

A loan move to another Premier League club would be ideal for him to pick up more experience to really challenge for a regular spot in Wenger's side in 2017/18.

The 21-year-old hasn't looked out of place since his move from Bolton last summer, but undoubtedly would benefit from a more regular start.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles

Another star of Arsenal's FA Cup win at Southampton at the weekend was midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles. The 19-year-old put in an excellent shift in the heart of the Gunners' midfield, suggesting he's ready for more top-flight first-team action.

That's unlikely to come at Arsenal this season considering he's made just one Premier League appearance and that was at the end of a match in stoppage time.

With the versatility to play in midfield or on the wing, another loan move like last season's at Ipswich would be ideal for his development. Perhaps a Premier League club is the place for him this year though a move to the Championship for six months would likely be beneficial too, especially if it's at a time challenging for play-off positions.
