This week has passed by as painfully as my last kidney stones, with the world of English football seemingly counting the seconds until the Premier League returns next weekend.

International breaks are never enjoyable and although a solid performance from England against Germany in Dortmund on Wednesday night provided some welcome respite from the boredom, it didn't come close to matching the excitement domestic football brings.

Nonetheless, the lack of action has given Football FanCast more time to do what we enjoy most - whipping up some eye-catching infographics overloaded with incredibly revealing stats.

And although there has been far less action to sink our teeth into this week, our graphic design gremlins have still managed to produce some impressive images.

So without further ado, here's a look at four of FFC's best infographics of the week, featuring a strong Aston Villa performance from last weekend, England's best of the bunch against Germany, an Everton transfer target and Liverpool's most underrated star.

Everton eye Lukaku replacement

According to reports from The Sun, Everton are eyeing Real Sociedad striker Willian Jose as a potential replacement for Romelu Lukaku, whose future at Goodison Park is in serious doubt. As you can see, the Brazilian has been in pretty strong form this season, netting nine times from 39 shots in La Liga and popping up with three assists. The Sun, however, reckon he could command a fee in excess of £25million.

Jedinak monolithic in Villa midfield

It's been a disappointing season for Aston Villa fans but they did receive some respite last weekend in the form of a 2-0 win over Wigan Athletic. Steve Bruce's side were solid enough at the back to claim a clean sheet and much of that was down to midfielder Mile Jedinak being moved into the heart of defence. As you can see above, the Aussie international completed a staggering 24 defensive actions without giving away a single foul. Perhaps more impressively, Villa's win rate drops from 43% to just 8% without Jedinak in the starting lineup.

Lallana excels for England

Dele Alli may have been crowned the star of the show from England's narrow defeat to Germany on Wednesday night but attacking midfield partner Adam Lallana was equally important in creating problems for Die Mannschaft's defence. The Reds ace created the most chances of any Three Lions player and also hit the woodwork, whilst making his presence felt off the ball with one tackle and one interception. Rather than being excited about simply Alli's form for England, Three Lions should be looking forward to this attacking midfield combination in the years to come.

Clyne the PL's best right-back

Most would argue Nathaniel Clyne hasn't exactly uprooted any trees since moving to Anfield in summer 2015 but the stats suggest a somewhat different story. Indeed, of all 17 right-backs to have made ten appearances or more in the Premier League this season, the England international ranks second for passes and key passes, whilst he's also been dispossessed less than once per match and produced less than one successful touch per match. Perhaps most impressively, he's the only one of the 17 right-backs in question not to be booked this season.
