The three big Motherwell dangers that Rangers need to counter on Sunday
How often have we seen a player who previously played at a club come back and haunt that side a few years down the line? Gael Bigirimana never had the chance to show what he was all about at Rangers when he joined on loan from Newcastle a couple of years ago, a medical condition preventing him from playing for the club despite the deal being finalised.
His move represented a bizarre and tumultuous time for the Light Blues that fans will want to quickly forget about. Now though, Bigirimana has the opportunity to finally prove himself in Scottish football and there’s no better stage than against Rangers on Sunday.
Joining from relegated Coventry City this summer, he has already made four competitive appearances in midfield for the Steelmen, already contributing to three assists which, while against lower league opposition, points to a player ready to make an impression north of the border.
His goal for Coventry at Wembley in April’s EFL Cup Final also demonstrates he loves the big occasion. In front of the TV cameras this Sunday, can he show what the Ibrox club were missing out on in 2015?
