Everton will look to continue their push for the Champions League places when they host one of the surprise packages of the Premier League season in Burnley at Goodison Park on Saturday.

The Toffees are seven points behind fourth-placed Manchester City with just six top flight fixtures remaining this term, and manager Ronald Koeman will know that they will need to win all of those to have any chance of securing a top four finish.

They beat the champions Leicester City 4-2 at Goodison Park on Sunday and they will be confident of taking all three points when they host the mid-table Clarets on Merseyside.

While Sean Dyche’s men have been excellent at home, they have the worst away record in the Premier League having taken just four points from their 16 matches on their travels so far.

However, a number of the Lancashire side’s stars are starting to be linked with moves away following impressive campaigns.

Here are three Burnley players that would strengthen Everton’s squad this summer…

Tom Heaton

Despite the fact that Burnley were one of the pre-season favourites for relegation, Heaton has helped the Clarets keep nine clean sheets in his 29 Premier League appearances for the club this term.

The England international almost single-handedly got them a goalless draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford earlier in the campaign with a string of brilliant saves, and manager Sean Dyche has been able to rely on him being at his best for the whole campaign.

The 30-year-old would certainly be an upgrade on Toffees stoppers Joel Robles and Maarten Stekelenburg, with neither looking to have a future as number one choice under Ronald Koeman.

Michael Keane

The centre-back has been one of the best defenders in the Premier League season, and was recently rewarded with his first call up to the senior England team.

The 24-year-old played in both the friendly against Germany and the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Lithuania, and he put in a calm and composed display in a three-man defence.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman certainly would have been impressed as he looks for a younger centre-back this summer with Phil Jagielka and Ashley Williams getting no younger.

Strong in the air and comfortable in possession, Keane looks as though he has the quality to make an instant impact at Goodison Park.

Andre Gray

The Clarets striker has made quite an impact in his debut season in the Premier League after scoring eight goals in 26 top flight appearances, and it is form that won’t have gone unnoticed by other managers.

Everton boss Ronald Koeman will be looking for a new striker this summer whether Romelu Lukaku leaves or not, with Arouna Kone and Oumar Niasse looking to be on their way out of Goodison Park and Enner Valencia currently only on loan from West Ham United until the end of the season.

He may feel that Gray could be a useful addition as a starter or as cover, and he probably wouldn’t come at a huge price either.
