Celtic are on the verge of winning a sixth successive league title, with victory against Hearts at Tynecastle on Sunday enough to officially deliver the trophy. They can even win it before then if Aberdeen lose to Dundee on Friday night.

Regardless, it's inevitable that they'll be Scottish champions again and they'll be looking ahead to the rest of their goals this season, chiefly going unbeaten domestically and also winning a rare domestic treble of trophies.

A treble is something Celtic haven't achieved for 15 years and something they have only done three times in their long, storied history.

Brendan Rodgers doing it in his first season would be an immense achievement and make him a legend of the club within one year of his arrival.

But, are their signs the haul is at risk? Less than convincing performances against Rangers and Dundee followed going behind to St Mirren in the Scottish Cup, after all.

It should be stressed that they are, of course, still unbeaten, but do some of their big performers so far need to improve to ensure there are no slip-ups?

Here are THREE players that we feel need to raise their game in the closing stages of the season...

Scott Sinclair

Scott Sinclair has had an incredible season in green and white, netting 18 goals from the left-hand side of their attack and generally ripping apart defences on a consistent basis.

That consistency has dipped slightly in recent weeks, though, with the winger looking decidedly off the boil against both Rangers and Dundee in the Hoops' two previous matches.

Despite eventually getting a goal against St Mirren, they managed to neutralise his threat in the first half of that match, too.

He hasn't gone more than three games without a goal this season so we're expecting him to bounce back with a goal in one of Celtic's next few matches and that could be the confidence booster he needs to storm ahead of everyone else in Scottish football again in the closing stages of the season.

The Hoops will need him to be firing on all cylinders when they meet Rangers at Hampden at the end of April.

Scott Brown

Scott Brown's resurgence this season as a vitally important Celtic player has been one of the defining stories of the campaign under Brendan Rodgers.

Giving him different responsibilities in the heart of the team than he was used to, his more relaxed, composed defensive game has brought the Bhoys on leaps and bounds in the middle of the park.

In recent weeks, though, he's failed to dominate games as he'd been doing previously, especially against Dundee. The Dees managed to pressure the Celtic captain and hustle him out of influencing the match, to the entire team's detriment.

For Scotland at the weekend, too, he looked less like himself, unable to effectively combine with his team-mates, his usual slick passing going slightly wayward.

Brown is the beating heart of this Celtic team and a big reason why they've gone unbeaten so far. If they're to lift the treble, they need him at his best, brushing off the opposition and providing the platform for his more attacking team-mates to shine.

Erik Sviatchenko

Erik Sviatchenko was imperious in the Bhoys defence for the vast majority of his first 12 months in Celtic colours. By far their most assured defender in the latter half of last season, he continued that form into the first half of this one.

A shaky performance against Rangers at Ibrox halted that progress a little bit and coming in and out of the team since then doesn't look to have done him much good.

Jozo Simunovic has emerged as Celtic's most consistent defender and playing alongside the Croatian may work wonders for the Dane.

Against Rangers recently he didn't look at his best, meaning there are question marks about his ability in the upcoming semi-final showdown at Hampden.

At his best, he's comfortably the second best defender in Scotland and Celtic need him to show the attributes that give him that status or risk slipping up on their quest for the treble.
