Celtic are on the verge of history. They're chasing multiple records this Sunday against Hearts, both on a national and European level.

Currently 30 points ahead of Aberdeen, if they win and the Dons fail to beat Partick Thistle, they will set the European top-flight record for the biggest title-winning points margin. The current record is held by Paris Saint-Germain who won Ligue 1 by 31 points last season.

They also have the chance to break the Scottish record for most league wins in a season, most league goals scored in a season and the biggest points total ever in the Scottish top-flight. Added to all that they could also become the first Scottish side to go a 38-game league season unbeaten.

It puts Brendan Rodgers' side on the brink of something special and the Hoops will be going all out for victory.

Rodgers named a rotated side on Thursday night against Partick Thistle, so which stars should come back into the team to pick up the important win?

Here are THREE changes the Celtic manager must make to secure victory...

Mikael Lustig in for Cristian Gamboa

Mikael Lustig has been one of the most consistent and underrated members of the Celtic squad this season. Only Craig Gordon and Scott Brown have started more games than the Swedish international, demonstrating just what an integral part of Brendan Rodgers' team he has been. He's only missed nine of Celtic's 57 matches in all competitions.

Cristian Gamboa has rarely put a foot wrong in a Celtic shirt but should drop out on Sunday to allow Lustig to play his part on the day the Hoops shoot for history and lift the league title in front of a sell-out Celtic Park.

The Costa Rican was in sparkling form against Partick Thistle, a dynamic presence on the right flank, but Lustig offers more solidity and is clearly a key leader in the dressing room, behind Scott Brown.

Scott Sinclair in for James Forrest

Scott Sinclair, winner of the Scottish Players' Player of the Year award, has had a simply sensational debut season at Celtic. After a troublesome time at Aston Villa, he's seen his career be reborn under Brendan Rodgers, a manager who knows exactly how to utilise him. The winger has scored an incredible 25 goals this season, second in the squad only to Moussa Dembele.

James Forrest has arguably had his best season in a Celtic shirt but the form of Sinclair, and on the right hand side Patrick Roberts, is undeniable and as such it's likely he may have to drop out of Sunday's big match against Hearts.

Sinclair offers a threat like no other in the country, able to beat men one-on-one, cross effectively and bury them in from 20+ yards. If the Hoops are to tick off all the records previously mentioned then he will undoubtedly be at the heart of it.

Stuart Armstrong in for Tom Rogic

Another unfortunate casualty on Sunday should be Tom Rogic. Like most other Celtic players this season he has done little wrong, but nonetheless should see his place sacrificed for Stuart Armstrong to start.

Alongside Callum McGregor and Scott Brown, Armstrong has created a Scottish midfield core at Celtic that simply looks unbeatable when they are all on top form.

Rogic got back on the scoresheet against Partick Thistle, his first since injury in December, and has a good chance to play an important part in next week's Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen. But Sunday's match should be about rewarding the most important players this season and Armstrong is certainly one of those.

He's emerged into one of the top-tier talents at Celtic Park and has the ability to win the match for the Hoops from the middle of the park.
