He still has something to offer

Agbonlahor showed against Birmingham City on Sunday that he still has plenty to offer the club, be it as a starter or from the substitutes’ bench.

With top scorer Jonathan Kodjia suspended following a red card against Fulham the previous weekend, the 30-year-old was given a rare start by Steve Bruce and showed his instinctive finishing ability as he fired into the roof of the net in the second half.

While he probably wouldn’t be a regular in the starting XI next term, his experience and ability to make an impact could be vital in the side’s promotion push, but he will need to get a good pre-season under his belt first.
