Aston Villa can make it four wins in a row against high-flying Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night, though they do face rather a tough test against David Wagner's side, despite their loss to Newcastle United over the course of the weekend.

For the Terriers, it's vital they keep the pace with Brighton & Hove Albion in second place while Steve Bruce's side are looking to create some momentum ahead of next season.

Obviously, finishing in the top six looks a tad out of reach for those at Villa Park right now, though securing some much-needed wins could help Bruce start next season in better form. However, that'll be no mean feat against a mightily impressive home side, who were unfortunate Newcastle defended so well on Saturday night.

While Wagner's team by no means played badly, the Toon executed their gameplan to perfection, but they can take heart in their performance as Villa come to west Yorkshire.

With that in mind, here's a look as to why Huddersfield will end Villa's winning streak...

Space between the lines

One of the major problems dogging Bruce at Villa Park has been the fact he's struggled to eradicate the individual defensive errors so prevalent in his ranks. While there's been an improvement of late, Villa have been playing Championship strugglers, meaning they can afford the odd spacing issue in defence.

However, with the likes of Izzy Brown and Aaron Mooy roaming for the Terriers, space between Villa's two defensive lines will surely be acted upon.

All to play for

While suggesting the fact that Villa don't have anything to play for may sound a tad too obvious, with football at this level not really working like that, Huddersfield can keep their Premier League dream alive with a win here.

The Terriers have had the bit between their teeth for over a month now and surely a narrow loss - aside from Dwight Gayle's late third goal - against Newcastle United won't stop them in their dream. With Brighton also on a wobble, Wagner's side won't be giving up easily.

Defensive strength

While Huddersfield conceded three in the loss to Newcastle United, it was quite a strange game for their defence. The first was a rather dubious penalty, the second a mistake from Danny Ward and the third effectively because Huddersfield had pushed for an equaliser after making a good comeback.

Largely, both Michael Hefele and Christopher Schindler have performed well and the fact Villa only really have Jonathan Kodjia as a goal threat should be a worry. The German pair marking a man who can so often look isolated doesn't bode well for a Villa attack relying so heavily on the former Bristol City ace.
