Spartak Moscow forward Quincy Promes continued his fine start to the campaign with a man-of-the-match performance in his club’s 5-1 win against Sevilla in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
The 24-year-old wide man scored two and assisted two in the thrashing of the La Liga outfit, with his showing sure to have attracted admiring glances from a number of clubs across Europe.
Considering he has been so impressive for the Russian club since joining them from FC Twente in 2014, it would certainly be no surprise to see the prolific attacker to move on either in the New Year or next summer.
Meanwhile, Southampton boss Mauricio Pellegrino has endured a tough start to his career at St Mary’s with the club scoring just seven goals and picking up two wins from their nine matches in all competitions so far this season, and the Argentine is likely to look to strengthen his attacking options during the January transfer window.
