Three reasons Southampton will fail to beat Watford this weekend

Southampton will look to extend their unbeaten start to the new Premier League season when they play hosts to Watford at St Mary’s on Saturday.

It is the third time the south coast outfit have found themselves at home in the opening four matches after their clash against West Ham United was switched from the London Stadium last month due to the 2017 Athletics Championships being held there.

So far this term, Saints have played out goalless draws against Swansea City in their first game and newly-promoted Huddersfield Town last time out, while they beat the Irons 3-2 thanks to a last-gasp penalty from Charlie Austin.

It certainly won’t be an easy task to add another three points to their tally against Marco Silva’s men this weekend, with the Hornets the only other side also lying on five points in the league table and also unbeaten.
