Three reasons Spurs could win the FA Cup for the first time in 26 years
Tottenham Hotspur fans have been long suffering victims in the FA Cup. They haven’t seen their team lift the trophy for 26 years, way back in 1991, and haven’t even reached a final in that time either.
In fact, they have only gone past the Fourth Round four times in the last ten years, which isn’t a good enough record for a side that are regularly qualifying for European competition in the English Premier League.
That needs to change and supporters are dreaming that this is the year they can do it, given their incredible recent form in the top-flight.
After defeating Aston Villa in the last round, Spurs now host League Two side Wycombe on Saturday – the perfect opportunity for a route to the Fifth Round which could start to piece together a proper FA Cup run.
It is, of course, a difficult task to lift the trophy, but this season’s Spurs stars, more than most in recent years, have attributes that make the team one of the favourites.
