Three reasons Tottenham should hijack Man United’s interest in Arjen Robben

According to reports in the Daily Mail, Manchester United could be tempted to make a move for Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben as a move for Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic continues to stall.

The Daily Mail says that the Croatia international had been expected to be Jose Mourinho’s fourth and final signing of the summer, but the Serie A giants are demanding £48.5m for the 28-year-old and negotiations between the two clubs are yet to progress.

The report adds that Mourinho could be tempted to make a move for 33-year-old Robben, whom he signed for Chelsea during his first spell in charge at Stamford Bridge.

The Dutch winger has just one year remaining on his contract with the Bundesliga holders and the Daily Mail says that Bayern are generally looking to bring in younger players now.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur look set to complete all of their transfer business towards the end of the window once again, and they could be tempted by a move for the wide-man.
