Three reasons West Ham must go all out to sign Olivier Giroud
According to reports in The Mirror, West Ham United are lining up a summer move for out-of-favour Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud.
Despite being largely prolific during his time with the Gunners, the 30-year-old was often left on the substitutes’ bench this season with Alexis Sanchez preferred up top, and Danny Welbeck got the nod over him in the FA Cup final success against Chelsea despite the fact that Giroud started in the semi-final win against Manchester City.
With the story in The Mirror suggesting that Wenger is targeting moves for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette and Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappe, game time for the Frenchman could again be limited next term and he could look to leave.
Irons boss Slaven Bilic has been alerted to the new and is said to have thrown his hat into the ring to sign the £20m-rated striker.
