It's fair to say that Rangers supporters have had a rollercoaster summer supporting their team. While they've seen quality players like Graham Dorrans arrive at the club and a couple of fine performances, that's been coupled with demoralising defeats to the likes of Hibernian and a humiliating early exit in UEFA Europa League qualifying.

These up and down fortunes of the club have been almost never ending since the summer of 2016 and supporters are hoping that when their new arrivals this summer bed in they can become a lot more consistent in the Scottish Premiership.

Pedro Caixinha has made nine signings for the Light Blues this summer, all of them arriving early the summer. Since early July there hasn't been any hint of more incoming players but that doesn't mean there's not time.

The transfer window may be ending soon but we reckon Rangers can still secure one, two or all THREE of these big signings before the end of August...

Chris Cadden

With Rangers' right flank looking more and more shaky as time goes on, Chris Cadden has the ability to provide competition both at right back and right midfield, possessing defensive and attacking qualities that could be a real benefit to Rangers.

Still just 20 years of age, he's one of the brightest young prospects in the Scottish Premiership right now and was key for Motherwell in 2016/17 in particular.

James Tavernier has failed to realise his initial potential at the club and the right-back position has become something of a problem for Pedro Caixinha. If he can't fix it through tactics alone then bringing in outside help would be his only option, or he risks it being a problem that plagues their season.

The Daily Record reported in June that Motherwell value the player at around £500,000, putting him well within reach of the Ibrox club. Is he the man to solve Rangers right flank woes?

Jamie Walker

The Jamie Walker to Rangers speculation has been one of the big transfer sagas in Scotland this summer. The Daily Record report that the Light Blues have had three bids rejected for the left winger and the player has been left so unsettled that he was dropped from the Hearts first team squad in the opening weeks of the season.

However, he looks set to face the Ibrox side this weekend and you'd have to expect he'll be out to impress with just a couple of weeks of the transfer window remaining.

Rangers would be wise to continue their pursuit of the 24-year-old. He was one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership last season, scoring 15 goals for the Jam Tarts, as many as anyone in the Rangers side and from the wide areas too.

With Barrie McKay leaving the club this summer, Pedro Caixinha has had to move Josh Windass over to the left hand side of midfield and while he's shown glimpses of quality there, it'd surely be preferable to have a player natural in that position at the club.

Kenny McLean

Another player who has been consistently linked with Rangers this summer is Aberdeen midfielder Kenny McLean, with The Scottish Sun reporting as recently as last week that the club were set to use the money generated from the sale of Martyn Waghorn to make a renewed push to sign him.

McLean has been a stand-out central midfielder in the Scottish top-flight for years now, even going back to his days at St Mirren. At Aberdeen he's added a lot to his game under the guidance of Derek McInnes and outside of Celtic there aren't many better in the division in his position.

He has the drive and energy to offer a creative, attacking spark in the Rangers midfield which they are arguably lacking right now, despite boasting defensive quality in Ryan Jack and Graham Dorrans.

What's more, landing him would represent a significant blow to rivals Aberdeen, who the Ibrox side are hoping to beat to second place in the Scottish Premiership, at the very least, this season.
