West Ham United will look to extend their unbeaten run to four matches and secure their Premier League status for another season when they face Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday.

The Irons looked to be in danger of being dragged into the relegation battle after losing five straight top flight matches between March and April but they have taken five points from a possible nine since then to move seven points clear of the bottom three.

Slaven Bilic will know that his side will break the magic 40-point barrier if they pick up all three points this weekend, and it would be a huge boost in what has been a disappointing campaign for the club.

Despite losing five of their last six Premier League matches, it has been another solid season for Mark Hughes’ side and a number of their players have impressed this term.

Here are three Stoke players West Ham should look to sign this summer…

Jack Butland

With both Adrian and Darren Randolph being dropped throughout the season after failing to impress Slaven Bilic, the Croatian boss is sure to be looking for a new number this summer.

One player he would be mad not to target is Butland, who has recently returned to the Stoke first team following a long injury lay-off.

Prior to that absence the England international was establishing himself as one of the best stoppers in the Premier League, and he would be a safe pair of hands between the sticks for the Irons.

Giannelli Imbula

The powerful midfielder only joined Stoke on the last day of the January transfer window in 2016 for a club-record £18.3m fee from FC Porto, but he could already be on his way out of the Britannia Stadium this summer.

The 24-year-old has found first team football hard to come by under Mark Hughes in the Premier League this season but having impressed for Marseille previously, Bilic and West Ham may feel that he has something to offer in the middle of the park.

Marko Arnautovic

The loss of the unsettled Dimitri Payet during the January transfer window has certainly meant that the Irons have been missing that creative spark during the second half of the Premier League season, with Robert Snodgrass failing to make much of an impact after moving to the London Stadium from Hull City.

While he can be hot and cold, Arnautovic would certainly bring some quality and unpredictability to the West Ham frontline, and he could be up for a new challenge after spending four seasons at the Britannia Stadium.
