Three things Motherwell need to do to stop Celtic

Motherwell are having a tough week. The fact they were thrashed 7-2 at Pittodrie, had their manager sent to the stands and then also had him involved in a bizarre spat with Aberdeen fans means that a trip to Celtic Park on Saturday couldn’t really come at a worse time.

Celtic are on an incredible unbeaten run, having not been defeated by a single Scottish team this entire season so far. Streaking ahead at the top of the table, they’re well placed to pick up another three points against the Steelmen.

Will it be easy, though? Motherwell are the team that have arguably run them closest in recent months, playing their part in a thrilling 4-3 win for Celtic at Fir Park.

Mark McGhee’s ‘Well are also the last Scottish team to pick up a win at Celtic Park, defeating the Bhoys 2-1 back in December 2015.

Is that enough to convince you they have a chance? Perhaps not, but Motherwell will likely believe they can do it anyway.
