Three Tottenham stars that need to step up vs. Everton
Two of the Premier League’s form clubs go head-to-head this Sunday as Tottenham Hotspur welcome Everton to White Hart Lane.
Spurs had a terrific start to 2017, going the whole of January unbeaten and recording good wins against Chelsea and Watford during the process. While February has taken a little dip with Mauricio Pochettino’s side dropping out of the Europa League at the hands of KAA Gent and losing 2-0 to Liverpool, the Lilywhite’s form has still been fairly solid.
Harry Kane has also been in terrific form, bagging three hat-tricks in his last eleven games.
The visitors on Sunday, Everton haven’t had a bad year so far either. The Toffees had a poor, poor start to the Premier League season and massively underwhelmed up until late into last year. Unbeaten in the Premier League since December 19th, Everton’s only loss since came in the FA Cup against Leicester City who beat Ronald Koeman’s side 2-1.
That form has moved Everton back to a more familiar 7th place, and only six points off the top four spots, a position they would have hoped to have at least been in at the start of the season.
Tottenham will have their work cut-out to prevent the Toffee’s Premier League undefeated run, but if they are to do so, here are three of their stars who need to step-up to the challenge …
