The challenge Wigan face on Sunday is as tough as it gets in English football right now - Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Jose Mourinho has made it a theatre of dreams again, with United supporters hoping for big things in terms of silverware come the end of the season. Already in a final and progressing well in the Europa League, an FA Cup run would cement Mourinho's first season at United as very productive indeed.

Wigan have their own ambitions of course and make the short trip across Manchester with nothing to lose and everything to gain. Whether that's a freeing experience which allows them to play above themselves remains to be seen but you can never discount the magic of the cup.

The Latics are struggling in the Championship and are in real danger of dropping back down into League One after their promotion last year, just one point above the relegation zone.

Warren Joyce's men must play without fear and take their chances when they come and if they can do that, then anything is possible. Here are the THREE Wigan players that we think could cause United the most problems on Sunday...

Will Grigg

Will Grigg may not be hitting the heights of last season when he took League One by storm, but he's still Wigan's biggest goal threat heading into Sunday.

The Northern Ireland international has scored just 7 goals this season but did find the net in the 2-0 win against Nottingham Forest in the 3rd Round.

Manchester United is of course a big step up from League One and the Championship but he might just fancy his chances of making headlines on the big stage, especially if Mourinho names a rotated defence.

Stephen Warnock

He may be 35 years of age but Stephen Warnock has arguably been Wigan's most consistent player this season from left-back, even featuring in the middle and on the right of defence when required.

The Latics captain will likely be the source of inspiration for any good performance at Old Trafford, his experience vital on an occasion such as this.

Up against the likes of Juan Mata and Marcus Rashford, he'll have it tough - but we'd back him to roll back the years and put in a performance worthy of the Premier League.

Always a tough tackler, he also has the ability to play the ball out of defence and retain possession - which will be vital in the cauldron of Old Trafford.

Max Power

We couldn't leave out the man with the best name in football, but we've not simply chosen him because of a Simpsons reference. He's also the Wigan player who has provided the most assists this season with four in total.

Joyce is likely to be relying more on his defensive traits on Sunday and in that sense he'll be absolutely key too.

Wigan must provide a strong battle in the middle of the park or United will just run through them and Power will be needed both figuratively and literally.
