During his 18-month loan spell at Celtic, winger Patrick Roberts made himself an icon at the club. Fans absolutely adore him and many would like nothing more than for him to make a permanent move, or even another season on loan, to the Hoops.

However, there's no telling what will happen regarding his future and with his loan deal at an end, Celtic can't rely on the possibility that he will be in Glasgow again after the summer transfer window.

With 15 assists this season in all competition, he's been a real creative force at the club and Brendan Rodgers simply needs to replace that or risks his team going backwards rather than move forward.

With Scott Sinclair on the left hand side they have an elite winger who can not only create but score goals and adding another to the squad that can play on the left or the right would provide the Hoops with a real threat next season.

Here are three wingers we think could be a massive hit at the Hoops...

Srdan Plavsic

21-year-old Srdan Plavsic is a winger who made 39 appearances for Red Star Belgrade this season, scoring eight goals and assisting three more in the process. He was a vital part of their bid to win the Serbian top-flight, missing out by just three points. He also helped propel them into the national cup final at the end of May, where they also lost out to Partizan.

After making his mark as an U21 internationalist for Serbia, he has also gone on to win caps with the senior side, appearing in friendlies against Qatar and the USA in October and January.

It’s clear he has a bright future and there could even be Celtic interest there with The Daily Mail reporting last month that the Hoops had been tracking his progress through former scout David Moss.

Viktor Fischer

22-year-old Viktor Fischer hasn't had the best of debut seasons in British football with Middlesbrough but his history at Ajax points to a player that could really make a difference at Celtic Park.

After making his debut at the age of 18, he went on to score 33 goals in 111 appearances before moving to England.

Celtic are looking to make a big splash in the UEFA Champions League next season and the attacker has pedigree in European competition with the Dutch side, making 20 appearances.

After his difficult spell with Boro, he'll be eager to prove himself and Celtic could provide the perfect platform. Scottish Premiership football should be well met by his skills and a return to elite continental competition would allow him to make headlines across Europe.

Chris Willock

With his contract up at the Emirates this summer, Chris Willock's future is certainly up in the air. Celtic benefit from such situations of course. We've seen in recent years the likes of Joe Ledley and Moussa Dembele move north of the border from England at the end of their contracts with the Hoops in the fantastic position of not having to pay massive compensation fees for the players to their former clubs.

Willock is an excellent prospect at Arsenal and has even made first team appearances this season. Celtic fans know there is real quality in the youth ranks of these big English clubs after the spell of Patrick Roberts wowed them. Also a youth international with England, it's clear he has a big future in the game.

Brendan Rodgers has worked wonders with young attacking talent in the past, there's Roberts of course but there's also the likes of Raheem Sterling when he was at Liverpool.

Teenagers have a big opportunity moving to Celtic, just look at the rise of Moussa Dembele... could that be Willock next season?
