With the international break underway, the Fixture in Focus Podcast has shifted its attentions to all matters England this week - and what better way to do that than an exclusive interview with Sunday Times journalist Jonathan Northcroft!

Jonathan's coverage of England's exploits at the World Cup, through the unusual medium of Facebook articles, was a huge hit during the summer. Such a huge hit in fact, that Backpage Press have already collated them into a book, available through all good book outlets, titled Deadlines and Darts with Dele: My World Cup Diary.

James Jones sat this one out, leaving #FIFpod regulars Christy Malyan and Chris McMullan to pose a variety of questions to Jonathan, covering his book, England's transformation throughout the World Cup, the change in perspective of Gareth Southgate's team and the Three Lions' hopes for the future.

We also focus on England's key fixture this week, a Nations League clash with Croatia on Sunday that could see the World Cup semi-finalists either relegated to the second tier or reach the knockout phase of UEFA's new competition which has quickly grown in popularity.

Enjoy the episode and of course, if you enjoy what we do and don't want to miss any future episodes, make sure you subscribe.
