England produced a creditable display of passing football and secured a 1-0 win in which they dominated an admittedly sub-standard Netherlands side on Friday night.

The Dutch are not the force they once were but Gareth Southgate's team showed bravery in possession and promising signs in attack as Jesse Lingard's first international goal secured the win.

After the match, we asked England fans to give us their player ratings for each of the Three Lions players involved in the narrow win.

Jordan Pickford was the overwhelming leader, with an average rating of 8.0 out of ten but we've taken a look at the lowest ratings, which make for much more interesting reading.

Here's a rundown of the three starters who England fans felt let them down despite the victory...

John Stones - 5.1: The Manchester City defender has not been getting much football at the Etihad since the turn of the year but got the nod here as Southgate again persisted with the three-man defence he has preferred during his reign. Stones made three interceptions, two tackles and one clearance as England picked up a clean sheet but the fans were clearly unimpressed. Had more touches than any visiting player except Jordan Henderson but the fans want more.

Kieran Tripper - 5.1: Most fans might have expected to see Kyle Walker fielded at right-wing-back but as Southgate made the shock move of shunting him inside to centre-half, Tripper played there. Without the focal point of Harry Kane to deliver crosses to in the box, Tripper looked a little tentative going forward and he lacks Walker's acceleration. It remains to be seen whether the Walker experiment continues but many England fans might be hoping it doesn't, so Tripper drops out.

Joe Gomez: 4.5: The Liverpool man didn't even last ten minutes before injury forced him off, to be replaced by Harry Maguire. It was slightly surprising that he got the nod, as he has played at right-back all season for Liverpool but he will have been disappointed not to get any real chance to repay Southgate's faith in him. He looks higher up the pecking order than some fans might have expected before Friday, however.
