The country is reacting to the news this morning that England manager Sam Allardyce has been caught in a sting by The Telegraph appearing to negotiate a £400,000 deal and offering advice to business men on how to get past FA rules on the transfers of players and third party ownership.
The business men were actually reporters from The Telegraph unbeknownst to the former Sunderland boss and believed them to be in fact representing a company from the Far East looking to make some money from the Premier League in this country.
Where this leaves Allardyce and his future as the manager of the national team remains to be seen with him likely to have to explain his actions to the FA in the very near future.
‘Big Sam’ has managed the Three Lions just the once so far in his short tenure – a win against Slovakia – and it could transpire that that turns out to be his only game in charge.
Naturally, a story like this has created plenty of interest on Twitter and here are some of the best reaction to this revelation…

Win your first game to guarantee a 100% win ratio.
Have a pint of wine & then get sacked.

Don't understand the shock around Allardyce and third parties. On any given night, he doesn't seem like a man who would stop at two parties.
