Harry Kane could be set for his England debut this weekend against Lithuania… if leaked pictures of Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson’s tactics are to be believed. The Spurs star is currently the Premier League’s highest scoring Englishman with 19 goals and is enjoying, by some distance, the best season of his young career.
At the start of the campaign the 21-year-old was a fringe player at Spurs, but his form in the Europa League and domestic cups forced Mauricio Pochettino to select him, and he’s since flourished. Hodgson would have been hard-pressed to ignore his form over the past few months, and duly picked him for his squad for the upcoming EURO 2016 qualifier and the friendly with Italy.
And it looks like he could get his full debut on Friday, with images having surfaced the England’s gaffer’s training notes, which clearly partner Kane and Rooney up front. Although these are not concrete proof, with the Man United man likely to start given his role as captain, it makes little sense to train so close to the game with a player he won’t feature alongside!
