Cesc Fabregas will not leave Barcelona this summer and wants to fight for his place at the Nou Camp, according to teammate Alex Song.
Manchester United have made two bids for Fabregas, while Arsene Wenger, who has first refusal on his former captain, has not ruled out taking him back to Arsenal.
But Song, who played alongside the Spanish international at the Emirates before linking up with him in Catalonia, believes Fabregas will remain with Barcelona.
“I did not speak with him but I know Cesc is 100 per cent here,” Song said.
“He loves Barcelona, he loves the club. He will stay here next season and give 100 per cent because I know him very well and he’ll want to fight.
“He wants just to give his best for Barcelona. He’s from Barcelona, he loves Barcelona and he’ll want to start the season to show what he can do.
“People are talking and talking, but we know he is focused here and ready to start the season.
“He’s enjoying a holiday with his family and I’m sure he wants just to come back here.
“It’s my own opinion but I know he will stay here, 100 per cent.” (Daily Star)
Fabregas appeared 32 times for Barcelona last season, scoring 11 goals and creating another 14.
Tito Vilanova was not keen on letting him go, but the arrival of new boss Gerardo Martino could signal a Premier League return.
