According to The Daily Mail, Real Madrid's interest in Gabriel Martinelli could force Arsenal to triple his wages in an attempt to fend off the Spanish giants.

What's the word, then?

It didn't take long for Arsenal's teen sensation to start gathering some serious interest from Europe's best and Real Madrid already have him on their radar.

The 18-year-old striker has made huge impact since his July move from Ituano - registering 10 goals and three assists already - and his incredible form has sparked the interest from Los Blancos.

In fact, Real Madrid already value him at around £50m, as per the same report.

Fearful of losing Martinelli, The Daily Mail claim Arsenal are already in talks to reward the player with a pay rise from £10,000 a week to around £30,000 - despite his current deal running until 2024.

Verdict

Martinelli's short career has been full of excitement. He's already been turned down by the likes of Manchester United and Barcelona and is now wanted by Real Madrid.

Needless to say, both the Blaugrana and Man Utd might be banging their heads against the wall right now and Los Blancos could continue their squad rejuvenation if they were to somehow prize him from North London.

With young talents like Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo Goes, Luka Jovic, Ferland Mendy and the newest addition Reinier Jesus, the Galacticos are building for the future and it certainly looks bright.

Martinelli has already bagged ten goals across all competitions in 2019/20, with the latest one coming in their 2-2 draw against Chelsea, and looks like a huge prospect.

It's easy to see why Real Madrid are so keen and Martinelli would only add to that aforementioned cohort of exciting young players.
