Real Madrid and Paul Pogba are a love story of old.
Ever since the summer, Los Blancos have been on a wild goose chase to land Manchester United’s star and Zinedine Zidane’s stubbornness is seemingly still in full effect.
A new report from El Desmarque claims that this time, the lads from the capital are ready to throw in Vinicius Junior on top of a sum of €50m (£42.1) to finally land their target.

Of course, Pogba hasn’t really been playing regular football for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad this season, as he only has six games under his belt across all competitions so far with just 540 minutes in total.
A lot of that has been due to some of his injuries but his relationship with the club is slowly but surely deteriorating beyond repair and some sources even went as far as saying that he won’t play a single game for the Red Devils ever again.
But while he’s fit and firing, we know that he’s a top player.
After all, last season, he managed to bag 16 goals and 11 assists, practically carrying the team on his back.
But at what point does Florentino Perez say it’s enough and Zidane’s obsession should finally stop? Throwing Vinicius under the bus just to get Pogba doesn’t really sound like a good plan for Real Madrid.
The 19-year-old Brazilian has been under Rodrygo’s shadow for a while, granted, but he is still one of the players Los Blancos were supposed to build their future around. And he’s still that guy but he cannot be expected to show his talents if he’s not used at all.
This season, we’ve seen him in action 11 times but with only 448 minutes of game time in the process.
Not to mention that Marca have also stated Real Madrid’s board doesn’t really see eye to eye with Zidane on the Pogba case and it wouldn’t be a stretch to say it could cause a small rift between them.
We know the French manager is a big fan of the midfielder but he should also know his limits.
Sacrificing Vinicius seems like a counterproductive move and the Galacticos would just be shooting their own foot with it.
Elsewhere, one other man could’ve solved a lot of Manchester United’s issues but they decided against his signing back in the summer…
