According to London News Online, Charlton boss Lee Bowyer has admitted that forward Billy Clarke could leave the club on either a loan move or a permanent move this month after slipping down the pecking order at the Valley.

The 31-year-old has struggled for game time under Bowyer this season due to the fine form of Lyle Taylor and Karlan Grant, along with the fact that he has only recently recovered from serious cruciate knee ligament damage.

Bowyer admitted that Clarke is after a loan deal to regain his match fitness and increase his playing time, but seeing as his contract runs out in the summer, the Englishman could move away from the south Londoners permanently.

Clarke signed for the Addicks in the summer of 2017 and made 17 League One appearances last season, but has fallen well out of favour much to the annoyance of a number of Charlton fans...
