Charlton boss Lee Bowyer should look at a loan move for Stoke City youngster Josh Tymon in January to sort the Addicks' recent problems at left-back.

What's the situation?

Charlton are currently well in the promotion race in League One and adding to the squad in January will surely give them a good shot at going up. However, with the problems off the field, Bowyer may be limited to loan signings in the winter window to bulk up his squad.

The 41-year-old boss recently told the South London Press & Mercury: “It is too soon to say what sort of players we will want to bring in elsewhere but we need to try to get a left-back, 100 per cent.”

Bowyer, who only took the managerial job at The Valley on a permanent basis this summer, also said that the Addicks would not be looking overseas to fill the void at left-back, so Tymon could be the perfect temporary signing.

The Playmaker FC squad decided to wind-up some unsuspecting Brazil fans at the Emirates on Saturday night. Watch the hilarious results in the video below...

Tymon's young career has stalled at Stoke and he will be looking to get some first-team football in the second-half of the season, having been limited to just EFL Trophy and U23 games at the bet365 Stadium during this campaign.

The 19-year-old was once one of the most highly-rated young left-backs in the country, evident by his caps at all England youth levels between the U17s and U20s.

However, his move from boyhood club Hull City to Stoke in the summer of 2017 did not go as planned and in January last season he found himself being loaned out to MK Dons, so Charlton could be confident that a deal is there to be done.

So, Charlton fans, would you support a January move for Tymon or are there better options out there? Have your say by voting in the poll below.
