Portsmouth fans react to Chaplin speculation

Portsmouth forward Conor Chaplin continues to be linked with a move away from Fratton Park ahead of the start of the new League One campaign next month.

Chaplin came through the youth system at Portsmouth, and has made over 100 appearances for the club over the last four seasons.

Last term, the striker only managed five League One goals, but he featured in just 26 league matches for Pompey, and started less than half of those fixtures.

Coventry City have been linked with a move for Chaplin in recent days, although it has been reported that Portsmouth have already rejected a bid from the Sky Blues.

Chaplin was on the scoresheet in Portsmouth’s 2-1 win over Havant & Waterlooville at the weekend, and it might well turn out to be his last appearance for the club.

The Portsmouth fans have been reacting to the latest transfer speculation on social media, and it would be fair to say that they have differing opinions on the striker’s future.
