Sheffield Wednesday's poor run of form in the Championship continued on Monday night as they suffered a fifth loss in six matches.

The Owls succumbed to late defeat at Wigan Athletic after a point was snatched from their grasp in the 90th minute.

Loan winger Jacob Murphy headed the visitors in front just after half an hour, but the Latics came from behind to steal all three points thanks to Kieffer Moore's equaliser and Jamal Lowe's well-timed headed winner.

Despite all the negativity on social media, fans did hand out praise to one member of Garry Monk's squad... Morgan Fox.

The left-back was forced off in the 51st minute, and Wednesday's performance soon went downhill from there.

Here's what the fans have been saying...

The 26-year-old, who is out of contract this summer, was described as "class" by a couple of fans whilst one demanded that he is made captain following Monk's hint that some players aren't up to the challenge.

Another supporter praised Fox's 'zero-to-hero' redemption claiming he has gone from the most hated player to the top of the retain list.

Other members of the travelling faithful were quick to hype the Welshman up even more...

There were a couple of shouts for the player of the season so far while one went as far as saying Fox has been the 'player of the decade.'

It didn't stop there either as comparisons were made to an iconic left-back...

Fox provided the pin-point assist for their opening goal of the game, and fans were quick to say he was playing like Brazil legend Roberto Carlos.

It has been reported that the club are in talks over renewing his contract, which should please some fans going by this reaction on Monday evening.

Who the heck is that?! Can you name all of these obscure Sheffield Wednesday players...
