Had enough: Sunderland fans slam Jack Ross after play-off final defeat

Sunderland fans have taken to Twitter to slam Jack Ross after they watched their side lose the League One play-off final to Charlton in the most heartbreaking of circumstances.

The Black Cats took an early lead after Naby Sarr’s backpass trickled under Dillon Phillips’ boot and into his own goal, but that freak incident was one of few moments that had Charlton worried.

Sunderland fans have suffered a lot of heartache over the years but one fan manages to pick his ultimate low in the video below…

Ross’ men simply didn’t do enough to win the match and eventually lost the tie courtesy of a 95th-minute strike from Patrick Bauer, breaking Sunderland hearts with the last meaningful kick of the game.

It is now the second time the Wearsiders have lost at Wembley this season after losing the Checkatrade Trophy Final to Portsmouth earlier in the year.

Having suffered that embarrassing day and now this one against the Addicks, Sunderland fans are livid with Ross for his inability to guide the team to promotion.

Let’s see what the supporters on Twitter have been saying about the Scotsman…
