Sunderland boss Dick Advocaat is set to quit the club should his side to West Ham this weekend, according to reports in the Daily Mail.
The Black Cats are yet to win this season and find themselves rooted to the foot of the Premier League, with Advocaat admitting he would walk away should he feel another manager would be better suited to the role.
He had been set to retire after ensuring Premier League survival last season, taking over from previous boss Gus Poyet.
However, after a terrible start to the new campaign and frustrations surrounding a lack of quality brought in over the summer – the Dutchman is reported to be on the verge of leaving the Stadium of Light.
The paper go on to suggest that Burnley boss Sean Dyche has been identified as the prime managerial target to arrive on Wearside.
