Sunderland fans are loving their club’s latest transfer move, as reports suggest the Black Cats have bid for Cheltenham striker Mohamed Eisa.
According to Roker Report, Sunderland have made a seven-figure bid for Eisa.
The 24 year-old striker was one of the standout players in League Two last season, grabbing 25 goals in 50 appearances in all competitions.
The Sudanese-born striker only joined the League Two outfit last season, having scored 52 goals in 81 games for non-league side Greenwich Borough.
The Black Cats have of course been very busy in the transfer market already, but Jack Ross still needs a striker to carry his title charge.
Highly-rated youngster Joel Asoro dumped Wearside for Swansea, and replacing him with a promising youngster with far better end product would certainly be the right way to go about it.
The Black Cats also need players who know the lower leagues, and fans are excited about the bid for the 6ft Eisa, who is looking to follow in the footsteps of Jamie Vardy by surging his way up the divisions from non-league football.
