Loads of Sunderland fans have been discussing the form and future of Max Power, after the midfielder’s third red card of the season was rescinded.
Sunderland showed their resilient side on Saturday, keeping their unbeaten run going with a 2-2 draw at Walsall.
The Black Cats sit four points adrift of leaders Portsmouth, and looked to be falling further behind when Power was sent off just 23 minutes into Saturday’s clash.
Aiden McGeady and Lynden Gooch led a dramatic comeback to grab a point, but plenty of fans are bashing Power.

The 25 year-old looked to be an instant fan favourite when he joined on loan from Wigan, but he has now been sent off three times in just ten League One appearances this season.
The successful appeal to overturn Saturday’s dismissal has helped him avoid a whopping six-game ban, but some fans still feel his discipline and reputation is a major problem.

Hope he misses rest of the season and goes back to Wigan

Easy money for him! Spent more time suspended than playing

GOOD – to be honest should be close to being sacked. If I was as incompetent at my job I would be sacked.

We won’t sign him in Jan now I don’t think. Absolutely remarkable getting 3 reds in about 7 games. Never even heard of it happening before

Ridiculous challenge. He’s thick as mince

I hope he’s not getting paid much whilst he’s suspended ffs

I say it every week, but ALL referees are ‘inept’ (to put it mildly) ?
However, whether it should or shouldn’t have been a red card this time doesn’t excuse Power’s stupidity ? He should be left on the bench for all games, barring injuries & suspensions#safc

Even with Power’s red being rescinded theres no way I’d start him tomorrow night. Biggest game of the season against possibly the best side in the league. He’s an accident waiting to happen and we can’t afford to risk it imo. Have a feeling JR will back him and start him #safc
