Loads of Sunderland fans have been reacting to a stunning performance from former star Wahbi Khazri, as the Tunisian international scored twice in a 2-1 win over Marseille on Wednesday.
Sunderland’s transfer business under Ellis Short was nothing short of embarrassing, and even when the club did secure some top talent, they always found a way to ruin it.
This was the case for both Khazri and Yann M’Vila, who are now two of the standout players in Ligue 1.
Both players showed glimpses of great promise at the Stadium of Light, particularly Khazri, but neither managed to make Wearside their home.
The pair now plies their trade for Saint-Etienne, where they are proving what Sunderland fans suspected all along.
Check out the video below to see how Brazil fans reacted to being asked how Cristiano Ronaldo would perform for them in a hilarious prank by Pl>ymaker FC…
Khazri scored twice on Wednesday to lift Les Verts past Marseille, including a spectacular late winner, which you can see here.
The 27 year-old now has 12 league goals this season, while M’Vila has excelled deeper in midfield.
